Ms. Leon is the former Director of Development of the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research, a world renowned archive and library of East European Jewish history and culture. Since 2003, Suzanne was involved in all aspects of YIVO’s operations and programs where she was instrumental in launching the YIVO Vilna Collections Digitization Project, the critically acclaimed video art exhibition, Letters to Afar, and the Shine Online Educational Series. Prior to YIVO, Ms. Leon was a program officer for Holocaust education, archives and research at the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. She began her career at Credit Suisse First Boston in 1990, working for nearly a decade in project finance and syndications in New York.

Ms. Leon resides with her husband Dennis and son, Samuel, in the Hudson Valley and enjoys travel, hiking and the outdoors, as well as the arts and Jewish culture.

Georgia has been the bookkeeper/Office Manger for Federation for 29 LONG years, from Powell Avenue to North Street.  A native of Newburgh, she makes her home in the town of Newburgh with her husband, Clay. Georgia is the mother of five children and grandmother of four, most of whom have worked for or have been involved with helping Federation for a good part of their lives.


Sharon joined the Federation team in July of 2000. Since then, she has brought the office into the 21st century with her graphic arts and computer skills. Sharon is a past president and current Ritual Chair of Temple Beth Shalom in Florida, NY. She lives in Slate Hill and has been married to Rich for over 40 years. Daughter, Allison, is a teacher in NYC. Son, Jason lives in Maryland with his wife, Jennifer and adorable toddler, Charlotte. Sharon loves all things Jewish and going into the community to schmooze.
